How do you resurrect a show that's "been extinct since 1998?" In this fun new preview of the upcoming Animaniacs revival, Steven Spielberg is doing it the same way he did with the dinosaurs of Jurassic Park, playing the John Hammond role himself to bring back the Warner Brothers Yakko and Wakko, the Warner Sister Dot, and even Pinky & The Brain.
Celebrity spoofs always been par for the course for the beloved cartoon, and this particular riff, also featuring Drs. Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler and Ian Malcolm, is a funny way to bring us back into this show, boasting the "clean vectored outlines, widescreen format" to assure us that these aren't reruns. This is, indeed, a "reanimation," getting us right in all our nostalgic nerd spots.
Animaniacs premieres November 20 on Hulu.
