Her Twentieth Century Motor Car Corporation unveiled the prototype for the Dale, a three-wheeled sports car that even appeared on game shows as a prize to be won, and she became famous as a cocky upstart independent woman in the male-dominated industry. However, it turned out to be a house of cards constructed by a con artist, and things got dicey when the grift started to come apart.
The Lady and the Dale premieres Sunday, January 31 on HBO Max.
