Wheel of Fortune Summons a Demon with Horror Gag

The good folks over at Wheel of Fortune may have gotten a bit too into the Halloween spirit last night with a puzzle about Candyman, the iconic horror franchise recently adapted by Jordan Peele. In what's likely a first for the game show, a contestant summoned the film's terrifying demon when he said the word "Candyman" four times in a row as he answered the "Movie Quote" puzzle.

"That, by the way, for those who don't know, is from a film called Candyman," said Pat Sajak, repeating the dreaded word one final time. "By the way, if you say — and I said it the fifth time, which means he appears. Isn't that the way it works?"

"Absolutely. We should be terrified," replied the contestant, Jordan. "He may be under the wheel," joked Sajak.

Wheel of Fortune airs weeknights in syndication, but given the curse these two just unleashed, there's a chance we might never see it again.
