Cicely Tyson passed away Thursday at the age of 96.
Among her many accomplishments over a long and storied career spanning 70 years, Tyson was a five-time Emmy nominee for the role of Ophelia Harkness, mother of Annalise Keating on How to Get Away With Murder. In this clip, Ophelia and Annalise are quietly talking about the value of loving someone and helping others over loving yourself and guarding your feelings, not to mention the shady things that Annalise may or may not be guilty of perpetrating.
Ophelia comes through with a piece of wisdom to carry us all through our lives "You'll never love yourself if you hurt people, Anna Mae."
