Black Friday is more than just the start of the holiday shopping season. It's also the official start of the holiday TV season. From here on out, we won't see a single day without at least one holiday special and several made-for-tv holiday movies. Of course, this being Peak TV era, there's no lack of big-name, big-budget programming rolling out at the exact same time. Today is a case in point, with CBS airing the 50th anniversary broadcast of Frosty the Snowman, while new kids on the block Disney+, Apple TV and DC Universe drop some of their very best wares. Here's what's new and noteworthy on TV this Friday:
SERIES PREMIERE: As Primetimer's Joe Reid writes, Big Bang Theory's Kelly Cuoco is far from the first to take on the role, but she does seem perfectly cast in the title role of Harley Quinn, the new darkly comic animated series revolving around the DC Comics supervillainess. Among the other big names lending their voices to series are Lake Bell, Tony Hale, J.B. Smoove, Giancarlo Esposito, Jason Alexander and Wanda Sykes. Streaming on DC Universe
NEW EPISODE: Disney+'s The Mandalorian has quickly become one of Peak TV's most talked about shows. In addition to the its epic production values, the series broke Star Wars' glass ceiling with last week's episode directed by Deborah Chow. This week, Bryce Dallas Howard follows in the footsteps of her father (Solo's Ron Howard) to direct the fourth episode. Streaming on Disney+

NEW EPISODE: After covering the California wildfires, The Morning Show's Alex Levy (Jennifer Aniston) and Bradley Jackson (Reese Witherspoon) struggle to keep their personal relationship from going up in flames live on camera. Streaming on Apple TV+
