With Netflix stepping up its commitment to unscripted programming, every week seems to bring a new high-concept reality series to the fore. (The Circle, anyone?) Debuting today, Love is Blind offers a new spin on the reality dating show format that will have even the most impulsive romantics shaking their heads with worry. Also bowing today are second seasons of Narcos: Mexico and In Ice Cold Blood, a new family drama about an emotional support dog, and fresh episodes of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Briarpatch, Katy Keene, and Grey's Anatomy. Here's what's new and noteworthy on TV this Thursday:
SERIES PREMIERE: Nick and Vanessa Lachey host Love is Blind, in which 30 adventurous singles get to know each other while separated by a wall of frosted glass. After ten days, without ever having laid eyes on one another, participants are given the choice of leaving or getting engaged. From there, those who stick around will have another three weeks to plan their weddings. Like The Circle, Netflix will be releasing Love is Blind in batches of episodes over the next three Thursdays. Watch the preview. Streaming on Netflix
SEASON PREMIERE: Diego Luna returns for the second season of Narcos: Mexico, as the Guadalajara cartel continues to fight back competing drug operations and the U.S. government while expanding their narcotics empire. Watch the trailer. Streaming on Netflix
NEW EPISODE: Adrian Pimento (Jason Mantzoukas) returns to Brooklyn Nine-Nine while trying to evade someone who wants to kill him. Meanwhile, the rest of the squad sits through a conflict resolution presentation. 8:30 PM ET on NBC
NEW EPISODE: In a new interview with Primetimer's Aaron Barnhart, Briarpatch creator Andy Greenwald jokes that his show's subtitle could be "Rosario Dawson Talks To Weirdos." Tonight's episode makes good on that promise, as Allegra (Dawson) adds a new suspect to the show's ever-expanding rogues gallery. 10:00 PM ET on USA
NEW EPISODE: Katy (Lucy Hale) and her friends struggle to make ends meet on Katy Keene, with Josie (Ashleigh Murray) taking a job at a struggling but promising record store. Meanwhile, Jorge (Jonny Beauchamp) learns he's developing bad reputation on Broadway. 8:00 PM ET on The CW
SERIES PREMIERE: In the family drama The Healing Powers of Dude, a young boy is thrown into the trenches of middle school, only to find some much-needed emotional support from a scruffy pup named Dude. Watch the preview. Streaming on Netflix
SEASON PREMIERE: Ice-T returns to host the second season of In Ice Cold Blood. The true crime series shines a light on murderous tales of sex and greed. Watch the preview. 9:00 PM ET on Oxygen
NEW EPISODE: David Arquette guest stars in a new episode of Deputy in which a suspicious car in the forest leads Bill (Stephen Dorph) and his team to a missing girl. Watch the preview. 9:00 PM ET on Fox
NEW EPISODE: Will's mother Marilyn (Blythe Danner) returns to Will & Grace, where she attempts to introduce Grace (Debra Messing) to a couple she feels might be interested in adopting her baby. Meanwhile, a rodent has taken up residence in Jack's (Sean Hayes) apartment. 9:00 PM ET on NBC
