Modern Family's Series Finale Sees the Prichetts Off Into the Sunset

After a whopping 247 episodes, Modern Family exits the television landscape tonight a reminder of how far we've come, and quite possibly network TV's last really big show. Before the series finale, catch a one-hour documentary look-back at the show's 11 year run, from the writing and casting of the pilot, all the way up to the final table read. Also tonight: Jimmy Kimmel gets in touch with his inner Regis, Sharon Osbourne visits The Masked Singer, and the British thriller Liar pivots to a murder investigation as it kicks off its second season. SERIES FINALE: The double-episode series finale of Modern Family finds everyone at a turning point, with Mitch (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) and Cam (Eric Stonestreet) taking a big leap forward, Gloria (Sofia Vergara) realizing her family still needs her, just not in the same way, and Claire (Julie Bowen) and Phil (Ty Burrell) retaking control of their nest. PRIMETIME REVIVAL: Securing the plum spot immediately following Modern Family's finale is the Jimmy-Kimmel hosted revival of Who Wants to be a Millionaire. An instant hit when it first premiered in primetime back in 2009, this new 20th anniversary edition features celebrities competing for their favorite charities.
