MCU Stars Chris Hemsworth and Chris Evans Hit the Small Screen

No, it's not a new Avengers flick, but the actors best known for portraying Thor and Captain America both have new projects hitting TV today. Evans co-stars with Michelle Dockery as the beleagured parents of a teenager accused of murder in the eight-part Apple TV+ limited series Defending Jacob, while Hemsworth reunites with the Russo Brothers for the Neflix original movie Extraction. Also today: VH1 takes the wraps off RuPaul's Secret Celebrity Drag Race, Spike Jonze turns his camera on the Beastie Boys, and Ricky Gervais returns to Netflix with more After Life. SERIES PREMIERE: Based on the bestselling novel by William Landay, Defending Jacob follows Assistant District Attorney Andy Barber (Chris Evans) and his wife Laurie (Michelle Dockery) as they fight to prove the innocence of their son Jacob (Jaeden Martell) when he is accused of murder. PREMIERE MOVIE: Producers Joe and Anthony Russo (Avengers: Endgame) reunite with Chris Hemsworth for the action thriller Extraction, in which Hemsworth plays Tyler Rake, a mercenary hired to rescue a criminal kingpin's kidnapped son. Watch the trailer. Streaming on Netflix

SPECIAL PRESENTATION: This year's unorthodox NFL Draft continues on NFL Draft on ABC: Rounds 2 - 3. The three and a half hour broadcast begins at 7:00 PM ET/4:00 PM PT on ABC

SERIES PREMIERE: In each episode of four-part RuPaul's Secret Celebrity Drag Race, three different RuPaul's Drag Race fan favorites are challenged with giving three different celebrities drag makeovers. DOCUMENTARY PREMIERE: Longtime Beastie Boys collaborator Spike Jonze directs the "live documentary" Beastie Boys Story, in which the band's surviving members Michael Diamond and Adam Horovitz detail thier history and pay  tribute toAdam Yauch, who passed away in 2012. SEASON FINALE: The debut season of Making the Cut comes to a close today, with hosts Tim Gunn and Heidi Klum announcing the fashion design show's first winner. Streaming on Prime Video
