Ridley Scott Returns to His Sci-Fi Roots in HBO Max's Raised By Wolves

The Hollywood uber producer who made his name directing films like Alien and Blade Runner is returning to his sci-fi roots with a new series centered around two androids tasked with raising human children on a mysterious virgin planet. Premiering today, the first two episodes of Raised By Wolves were directed by Scott himself, marking the very first time in his 55-year career that he's helmed an episodic TV series in the U.S. Also today: Peacock revives the once-cancelled A.P. Bio, Netflix drops a brand new romantic comedy, and Tacoma FD signs off for the season. Here's what's new and noteworthy on TV this Thursday:

SERIES PREMIERE: Set on a mysterious planet that’s in the early stages of colonization, Raised By Wolves focuses on two androids living among newly-arrived humans who haven’t left their ideological baggage back on Earth. Watch the trailer. Streaming on HBO Max

SEASON PREMIERE: Dry your eyes, A.P. Bio fans, your favorite show is back. PREMIERE MOVIE: Money can't buy you love, but you can always sue for damages. Rachel Leigh Cook stars in the Netflix original film Love, Guaranteed, in which she plays a Seattle lawyer who accepts a big money case from a client (Damon Wayans Jr.) who says an online dating service promised him love but failed to deliver.
