One has to wonder — did they even bother setting up a pitch meeting at NBC for Mr. Mayor? Because it’s hard to imagine 30 Rock wunderkinds Tina Fey and Robert Carlock having to say anything more than the words “Ted Danson” before network execs eagerly sent over the paperwork. Tonight we'll find out if this TV dream team has what it takes to make a hit in 2021.
