Netflix Drops Twisty Psychological Thriller Behind Her Eyes

Not since the days of Chubby Checker has The Twist been so prevalent in popular culture. As Primetimer's Joe Reid writes, the plot twist has become a staple of Peak TV, and with today's release of the Netflix's Behind Her Eyes we've officially arrived at Peak Twist TV. The new six-part limited series follows a single mother who becomes romantically involved with her married boss, setting off an unexpected and regretable chain of events.

Also today: The Real Housewives of New Jersey kicks off Season 11 with a bang, Will Smith hosts a new docuseries focused on the 14th Amendment, and the Riverdale crew fights to save their alma mater. Here's what's new and noteworthy on TV this Wednesday:

LIMITED SERIES PREMIERE: Based on the novel by Sarah Pinborough, Behind Her Eyes stars Simona Brown as a single mother who begins an affair with her boss (Tom Bateman), before striking up an unlikely (and ill-advised) friendship with his wife (Eve Hewson). Read our review. Streaming on Netflix
