Finales, Premieres and Returns Headline a Packed Weekend

Shameless, Wynonna Earp, The Nevers, Them, Fear the Walking Dead and more.

    It's the rare weekend where streaming doesn't eclipse traditional TV, but between the series finales of Syfy's Wynonna Earp and Showtime's Shameless, HBO's premiere of The Nevers and the long-awaited return of AMC's Fear the Walking Dead, OG cable TV is more than holding its own this weekend.

    Elsewhere, Carey Mulligan hosts SNL, Them bows on Amazon, and Melissa McCarthy and Octavia Spencer partner up in a new Netflix original movie. Here's what's new and noteworthy on TV this weekend:

    FRIDAY APRIL 9

    SERIES FINALE: Big feelings and bigger decisions are revealed in the series finale of Wynonna Earp when a new witch makes herself known in Purgatory. Watch trailer10:00 PM ET on Syfy

    SERIES PREMIERE: Lena Waithe and Little Marvin present the anthology horror series Them. The 1950s-set first season centers on a Black family that moves into a suburban Compton neighborhood, where they're terrorized not only by their white neighbors but by monsters from within their own home. Streaming on Prime Video

    ORIGINAL MOVIE: In a world where supervillains are commonplace, Thunder Force follows two estranged childhood best friends who reunite after one devises a treatment that gives them powers to protect their city. Octavia Spencer, Melissa McCarthy, Jason Bateman, Bobby Cannavale, and Melissa Leo star. Watch trailer. Streaming on Netflix

    SERIES PREMIERE: The new unscripted series Doing the Most with Phoebe Robinson follows the standup comic as she embarks on adventures with celebrity guests that take her out of her comfort zone.     NEW EPISODE: Wyatt Russell’s John Walker and Clé Bennett’s Lemar Hoskins are set to the return to the fore as The Falcon and the Winter Soldier drops another supersized episode. Streaming on Disney+
