Y: The Last Man Debuts, The Daily Show Revamped, and Ellen Gets Animated

The Daily Show with Trevor Noah is set to begin a new era tonight. While Comedy Central has been cryptic about what exactly will be different when the show returns with its first new episodes after nearly three months off, Noah himself said last week that he'll be "trying new things," no doubt influenced by the 15 months he spent hosting the show from his New York City apartment.

The Daily Show with Trevor Noah: Season premiere. The late night staple has supplied viewers with a steady stream of “socially distanced” comedy since March of 2020, but the show is set to finally emerge from Noah's apartment tonight with what Comedy Central is describing as “a brand new look and feel.” Watch promo. 11:00 PM ET on Comedy Central

Y: The Last Man: Series premiere. Based on the acclaimed DC Comics’ series of the same name, this new post-apocalyptic tale follows the survivors of a world in which a cataclysmic event decimates every mammal with a Y chromosome, save for one cisgender man and his pet monkey. Little Ellen: Series premiere. Forget the less than pleasant person she's reported to have become and explore the world through the eyes of seven-year-old Ellen DeGeneres in this animated children’s series inspired by the comic's childhood in New Orleans. Watch trailer. Streaming on HBO Max

Hell’s Kitchen: Season finale. The three remaining chefs are tasked with cooking a five-course dinner service scored by celebrity judges, with only two advancing to a final challenge that requires them to choose their brigades from a pool of their former competitors. 8:00 PM ET on FOX

American Ninja Warrior: Season finale. The National Finals conclude in Las Vegas as the remaining competitors vie for a chance to win $1 million. 8:00 PM ET on NBC

Monday Night Football: Lamar Jackson’s Baltimore Ravens and the Las Vegas Raiders headline the first MNF game of the season, airing on not one but two Disney-owned networks. 8:15 PM ET/5:15 PM PT on ABC and ESPN
