And Just Like That, Sex and the City Returns to the Small Screen

Nearly 20 years after they sauntered off HBO in their Manolos, Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbes, and Charlotte York Goldenblatt are back on the small screen in revival series And Just Like That. The Sex and the City revival, two episodes of which drop today, tracks the women as they navigate life, love, and friendship in their 50s — although this time they’ll be without Samantha Jones, played by the inimitable Kim Cattrall in the original series and subsequent films.

Also today: Kyle Richards headlines Peacock film The Housewives of the North Pole, Jodie Turner-Smith’s Anne Boleyn debuts on this side of the pond, and Mindy Kaling’s The Sex Lives of College Girls ends its freshman year. Here’s what’s new and noteworthy on TV this Thursday:

And Just Like That: Series premiere. Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) embrace their 50s in HBO Max’s long-awaited Sex and the City revival. The trio will be joined by a supporting cast of newcomers, including Sara Ramírez, Nicole Ari Parker, Sarita Choudhury, and Karen Pittman. Two episodes drop today. Watch trailer. The Housewives of the North Pole: Original film. Trish (Kyle Richards) and Diana (Betsy Brandt) are widely considered the Christmas Queens of North Pole, Vermont, but when they have a friendship-ending argument just days before Christmas, it sparks a town-wide feud that draws the attention of a magazine writer looking to make a name for herself with a scintillating exposé. Anne Boleyn: Limited series premiere. Jodie Turner-Smith’s three-part psychological thriller explores the final months of Anne Boleyn’s life from the eponymous Queen’s perspective, as she struggles to secure a future for her daughter and to challenge the powerful patriarchy closing in around her. AMC+ acquired the drama after its successful debut in the U.K. earlier this year. Watch trailer. Streaming on AMC+

The Sex Lives of College Girls: Season finale. Kimberly (Pauline Chalamet) continues to cope with Nico’s (Gavin Leatherwood) deception, Whitney (Alyah Chanelle Scott) deals with the fallout from her affair with her soccer coach, Leighton (Reneé Rapp) struggles with sharing her true identity, and Bela (Amrit Kaur) takes on the Catullan in the final two episodes of Mindy Kaling’s college-set comedy. Guilty Party: Season finale. When multiple publications decline to run her story, Beth (Kate Beckinsale) makes a desperate last move. Streaming on Paramount+

Siwa’s Dance Pop Revolution: Season finale. The newest members of XOMG POP are revealed in the final episode of JoJo and Jessalynn Siwa’s reality competition. Streaming on Peacock

Mr. Saturday Night: Original documentary. HBO’s Music Box series continues with a feature doc about Robert Stigwood, the Australian impresario behind Grease and Saturday Night Fever. Watch trailer. 8:00 PM ET on HBO

Grey’s Anatomy: When Dr. Hamilton (guest star Peter Gallagher) takes his frustrations out on Meredith (Ellen Pompeo), Nick (Scott Speedman) gives her a chance to blow off steam by scrubbing in on a surgery. Back in Seattle, Link (Chris Carmack) and Jo (Camilla Luddington) take their kids to a fairytale theater performance that goes terribly wrong, and Bailey (Chandra Wilson) and Dr. Lin (Lynn Chen) attend a recruitment fair in hopes of attracting more doctors to Grey Sloan. Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Fall finale.
