Hulu Brings Pam & Tommy Back to the Screen, Celebrity Big Brother Returns

Everything old is new again as Hulu dramatizes the true story of the Pamela Anderson-Tommy Lee sex tape in Pam & Tommy, starring Lily James and Sebastian Stan as the famous couple.

Also today: CBS counter-programs the Winter Olympics with a new season of Celebrity Big Brother, Netflix explores a case of catfishing gone wrong in The Tinder Swindler, and South Park kicks off its first full season since 2019. Here’s what’s new and noteworthy on TV this Wednesday:

Pam & Tommy: Limited series premiere. Hulu tells the true story behind Pamela Anderson (Lily James) and Tommy Lee’s (Sebastian Stan) sex tape, stolen by a disgruntled contractor (Seth Rogen) and uploaded to the Web in 1997, in this eight-episode limited series. The comedy was produced without approval from its subjects, and sources close to Anderson say the buzz around the show has been “very painful” for her. Celebrity Big Brother: Season 3 premiere. A new batch of stars — including Lamar Odom, Cynthia Bailey, and Todd Bridges — move into the Big Brother house for two weeks of intense competition. The new season, which CBS is once again offering as an alternative to the Olympics, begins its sojourn Wednesday through Friday of this week. 8:00 PM ET on CBS and Streaming on Paramount+

The Tinder Swindler: Original documentary. The team behind Don’t F**k with Cats follows three women as they team up to get revenge on a conman who seduced and swindled young women across several countries out of millions. Watch trailer. Streaming on Netflix

South Park: Season premiere. After four COVID specials, the animated comedy returns with the first episode of its landmark 25th season. 8:00 PM ET on Comedy Central

The Book of Boba Fett: New episode. After disappearing for much of Episode 5, Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison) returns to action alongside a few familiar faces. Streaming on Disney+

The Amazing Race: New episode. The remaining teams head to Corsica, where frontrunners Ryan & Dusty face a major challenge. 9:00 PM ET on CBS

The Conners: New episode. Mark (Ames McNamara) finds it hard to fit in after returning to public school, and when Darlene (Sara Gilbert) learns what he’s doing to make a little extra cash, she’s anything but happy. 9:00 PM ET on ABC

Good Sam: New episode. When Griff (Jason Isaacs) is shot in the hospital, Sam (Sophia Bush) and her team race against the clock to save him. Watch preview. 10:00 PM ET on CBS

American Greed: New episode (special time). The CNBC docuseries explores the stunning story of Aaron Shamo, a suburban Eagle Scout turned Dark Web drug lord. 11:00 PM ET on CNBC

NBA Basketball: The NBA takes over ESPN with two matchups:

• Memphis Grizzlies at New York Knicks 7:30 PM ET/4:30 PM PT
