Network TV has a new single-franchise TV night. CBS has FBI Tuesdays, and NBC already has Chicago Wednesdays; now the network is doubling down with Dick Wolf and rolling out Law & Order Thursdays, beginning tonight with the return of the original Law & Order nearly 12 years after it was unceremoniously canceled. Sam Waterston and Anthony Anderson return alongside a host of newcomers, including Hugh Dancy and Camryn Manheim.
Also today: Grey’s Anatomy and Station 19 return from hiatus with a new crossover, Peacock bows its new family comedy Take Note, and Big Sky’s mystery deepens as it embarks on the second half of Season 2. Here’s what’s new and noteworthy on TV this Thursday:
Law & Order: Season 21 premiere. Dick Wolf’s long-running procedural is back, promising a fresh perspective on the criminal justice system. Sam Waterston returns as District Attorney Jack McCoy, while Anthony Anderson will reprise his role as Detective Kevin Bernard.
