NBC Goes All In With Law & Order Thursday Nights

Network TV has a new single-franchise TV night. CBS has FBI Tuesdays, and NBC already has Chicago Wednesdays; now the network is doubling down with Dick Wolf and rolling out Law & Order Thursdays, beginning tonight with the return of the original Law & Order nearly 12 years after it was unceremoniously canceled. Sam Waterston and Anthony Anderson return alongside a host of newcomers, including Hugh Dancy and Camryn Manheim.

Also today: Grey’s Anatomy and Station 19 return from hiatus with a new crossover, Peacock bows its new family comedy Take Note, and Big Sky’s mystery deepens as it embarks on the second half of Season 2. Here’s what’s new and noteworthy on TV this Thursday:

Law & Order: Season 21 premiere. Dick Wolf’s long-running procedural is back, promising a fresh perspective on the criminal justice system. Sam Waterston returns as District Attorney Jack McCoy, while Anthony Anderson will reprise his role as Detective Kevin Bernard. Grey’s Anatomy: Season 18 winter premiere. As Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) works to save Dr. Hamilton’s (Peter Gallagher) life, the Grey Sloan Memorial doctors grapple with the aftermath of the car crash that involved some of their own. Watch preview. 9:00 PM ET on ABC

Take Note: Complete first season. In this new scripted family comedy, a group of tweens from across the country will be challenged to make it through a summer of crazy ups and downs as they compete in a reality singing competition. Watch trailer. Streaming on Peacock

Big Sky: Season 2 winter premiere. Reeling from the emotional news of Joseph’s (Jeffrey Joseph) death, Jenny (Katheryn Winnick) and Cassie (Kylie Bunbury) desperately search for answers. Watch preview. 10:00 PM ET on ABC

Love, Tom: Original documentary. Oscar and GRAMMY nominated songwriter Tom Douglas narrates a letter of hope to a desperate world and opens up about his creative struggle in a new documentary. Watch trailer. Streaming on Paramount+

Awesomeness TV’s Next Influencer: Reunion special. The TikTokers and wannabe influencers sit down to hash out the highs and lows of Season 3. Streaming on Paramount+

Legacies: Season 4 winter premiere. While Cleo (Omono Okojie), MG (Quincy Fouse), and Jed (Ben Levin) work together on an unusual mission, Alaric (Matthew Davis), Landon (Aria Shahghasemi), and Ted (guest star Ben Geurens) figure out what is next for them. Watch preview. 9:00 PM ET on The CW
