Last year’s inaugural Field of Dreams Game between the between the Chicago White Sox and the New York Yankees was the stuff of legend: perfect weather, a suspenseful game, and a tour-de-force sports production (complete with an appearance from Kevin Costner himself).
Fox was rewarded handsomely, earning record ratings and the Sports Emmy for Best Live Production (beating the Olympics and the Super Bowl). To say they set a high bar ahead of tonight’s second edition of the game would be an understatement, but perhaps there’s magic in that there field.

Ms Pat Show: Season 2 premiere. Its first season escaped the notice of most when it premiered on BET+ last year, but Ms Pat’s multicam comedy is making a much higher profile Season 2 return today thanks in part to a surprise Emmy nomination, one of BET’s two first-ever scripted series nominations this year.
