Atlanta and The Good Fight Say Goodbye After Acclaimed Runs

It’s a sad day for television fans, as Atlanta and The Good Fight, two of the most acclaimed series of the past five years, end their runs. Atlanta signs off with an episode written by Donald Glover and directed by longtime collaborator Hiro Murai, while The Good Fight reaches Armageddon after a final season of escalating political violence.

However, today also brings a few major premieres, including Dan Levy-hosted competition series The Big Brunch, David E. Kelley’s The Calling, and Warrior Nun Season 2. Here’s what’s new and noteworthy on TV this Thursday:

Atlanta: Series finale. Donald Glover’s Emmy-winning series says goodbye after four seasons of existential and surrealist drama. The finale is titled “It Was All a Dream,” with a description courtesy of Glover: “You know what? As much as I hated this show, I think I’m gonna miss it.” 10:00 PM ET on FX

The Good Fight: Series finale. Christine Baranski’s Good Wife spinoff faces the end of democracy head-on with an episode creators Robert and Michelle King promise is “cataclysmic” and packed with violence. Streaming on Paramount+

The Big Brunch: Series premiere. 10 talented chefs from every corner of the country face off in creative brunch challenges for a chance to win a life-changing $300,000 cash prize. Schitt’s Creek star Dan Levy serves as creator and host, while culinary experts chef Sohla El-Waylly and restaurateur Will Guidara join him as judges. Three episodes drop today. Watch trailer. The Calling: Complete Season 1. NYPD Detective Avraham Avraham (Jeff Wilbusch) has a resolute belief in mankind and a deep sense of spirituality, but when a seemingly routine investigation turns upside down, he’s left to question his own humanity. The eight-episode drama boasts a wealth of talent behind the screen, including David E. Kelley as creator and Barry Levinson as director and executive producer. Watch trailer. Streaming on Peacock

Warrior Nun: Complete Season 2. Ava (Alba Baptista) and the Sister-Warriors of the Order band together to defeat the angel, Adriel (William Miller), as he attempts to build his following into the dominant religion on the planet. Watch trailer. Streaming on Netflix

A Friend of the Family: Limited series finale. Peacock brings its dramatized take on the Jan Broberg story to a close with an episode that sees Jan (Mckenna Grace) come to terms with her experience with Berchtold (Jake Lacy) on her 16th birthday. Read our review. Streaming on Peacock

State of Alabama vs. Brittany Smith: Original documentary. Director Ryan White tells the harrowing story of Brittany Smith, a woman trying to use Alabama’s Stand Your Ground law after killing a man she says brutally attacked her. Watch trailer. Streaming on Netflix

Station 19 and Grey’s Anatomy: Fall finales (crossover event). When a massive lightning storm hits Seattle, the Station 19 team leaps into action. Meanwhile, at Grey Sloan, the attending surgeons and interns work together to save an injured reporter and family affected by the storm. Watch preview. 9:00 PM ET on ABC

Law & Order: New episode. When a crisis consultant who’s made many enemies is murdered, Price (Hugh Dancy) and Maroun (Odelya Halevi) must set aside the potential damage to a witness’s reputation in order to strengthen their case.
