Everything old is new again, as high-profile sequels That ‘90s Show and Night Court premiere, British courtroom drama Accused gets a remake, and New Amsterdam closes its doors for good.

Notable TV Premieres This Week

Night Court: Tuesday, 8:00 PM ET on NBC

The week’s first sequel to a beloved sitcom returns us to the grimy yet kooky world of late-night jurisprudence, as Melissa Rauch takes the bench as the daughter of former judge Harry Stone. Sadly, most of the original cast of the 1980s staple has passed away, but John Laroquette returns as acerbic prosecutor Dan Fielding, a role that netted him four Emmys back in the day. With an all new courtroom full of supporting players (including India de Beaufort, Kapil Talwalkar, and Lacretta, as the requisite imposingly goofy bailiff), this resurrected legal comedy seeks to recapture the original’s mix of silliness and heart, even if reports suggest there will be no werewolf lawyers this time around.

Accused: Sunday, 9:00 PM ET on Fox

Based on the acclaimed British anthology, this courtroom drama from the creators of House and 24 opens with a different defendant on trial, with each episode showing how and why they wound up there. It might be easier to list which talented actors aren’t involved in this ambitious series, but the sprawling and award-winning cast includes the likes of Wendell Pierce, Margo Martindale, Michael Chiklis, Robert Wisdom, Molly Parker, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Rhea Perlman, Rachel Bilson, Abigail Breslin, Whitney Cummings, and many more.

That '90s Show: Thursday, Netflix

The second major sequel series of the week sees a whole new crop of stoner Wisconsin teens camping out in the basement of now-grandparents Red and Kitty Forman (the returning Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp). Leading this new gaggle of high schoolers in period-specific 1995 fashions is Callie Haverda’s Leia, the precocious daughter of original sweethearts Eric (Topher Grace) and Donna (Laura Prepon), who meets many of her parents’ old pals (with one glaring, under-investigation exception) during her summer stay with her grandparents. Look for all the Friends hair, Macarena, and pogs gags you can shake a bong at.

Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre: Thursday, Netflix

From horror manga master Junji Ito comes this 20-part animated anthology series. The creator of cult skin-crawlers like Tomie and Uzumaki, Ito’s imagination is where sleep goes to die, so plan your night accordingly.

Finale Time

New Amsterdam: Tuesday, 9:00 PM ET on NBC

Max Goodwin’s (Ryan Eggold) five year quest to prove that patients matter more than money concludes with a two-part series finale. With ABC promising a “surprising yet inevitable conclusion” to the many dangling narratives weaving through the eternally beleaguered New Amsterdam Medical Center, count on plenty of tears, hugs, and one final speech about how it’s all about the patients, dammit.

Home Economics: Wednesday, 9:30 PM ET on ABC

Topher Grace’s big week continues with the Season 3 finale of class-conscious family sitcom Home Economics. With the Hayworth siblings (Grace, Jimmy Tatro, and Caitlin McGee) trapped under one roof with no power thanks to a natural disaster, the trio is forced to confront some uncomfortable truths about their relationship with signature witty familial awkwardness.
