Big Brother 27 cast member Adrian Rocha shared his intense preparation and mindset in a pre-house interview conducted by CBS on July 9, 2025. The 23-year-old carpenter from San Antonio, TX, described himself as someone who lives and breathes the game, going to great lengths to train for every aspect of it.

“I have built my own wall comp. I did balance beams. I studied the giant dice game. I studied the stacking gap. I studied every single possible Big Brother competition there is to know, and I trained for anything else,” Adrian said.

He broke down the game into three stages—social, strategic, and physical—and claimed to have studied each of them extensively. From reading psychology books to simulating competitions in his backyard, Adrian believes he has prepared for scenarios both seen and unseen in the game’s history.

With a clear focus on forming connections early and making strategic moves as the season progresses, Adrian expressed his belief that he’s ready to become “the greatest Big Brother player this world has yet to see.” His approach combines physical endurance, social awareness, and game knowledge shaped by years of dedicated study.

Big Brother 27 contestant Adrian outlines structured approach to gameplay

Adrian Rocha comes into Big Brother 27 with what he calls a “three-phase plan” for gameplay: social in the early weeks, strategic in the middle, and physical at the end. He emphasized the importance of social bonds, saying,

“You can’t be strategical in the first session… you can’t use that influence if you haven’t built that influence.”

His early plan includes being friendly with everyone, reading body language, and potentially winning the first Head of Household if he doesn’t feel safe. If he can trust the finalists in the opening challenge, however, he said he might throw it strategically. Adrian added,

"If I could get away with it, I would strategically, throw the first HoH if I feel safe, with the final two people standing there.”

He also claimed to be well-versed in game psychology and social influence, noting that it’s not about what you have in common with someone, but how much you can make them think you do. Adrian described strategy as “how you use that influence,” and said he’s studied how to break the game down at every level, including how and when to target specific types of players.

Preparation and mindset key to Adrian Rocha’s Big Brother 27 entry

Adrian’s preparation extends far beyond watching past seasons. He revealed that he’s practiced competitions in his backyard, like the Wall Comp, which he calls his favorite. “It’s called Wall Comp Wednesdays,” he said, explaining that he routinely trains for endurance, balance, and other physical challenges.

Beyond the physical, he’s also read psychology books to strengthen his social and emotional approach.

“I know what it takes to get someone to like you,” he explained.

His plan is to use that knowledge to build influence early, and then direct the game through strategic decisions.

When asked what makes Big Brother different, Adrian highlighted the show's combination of physical, strategic, and social gameplay.

“This isn’t Love Island… this is Big Brother. You have to sometimes betray your own friend… maybe even your own alliance to get to the end,” he said.

While confident in his abilities, Adrian admitted his weakness may lie in how much he cares for people. Despite that, he said he’s ready to play with logic over emotion. His goal remains clear: to win the money for his family—and to go down as one of the greatest players the game has ever seen.
