Arnold Schwarzenegger's son, Christopher Schwarzenegger, recently opened up about his dramatic transformation. During a candid panel discussion at the Inaugural Beacher Vitality Happy & Healthy Summit in Los Angeles on Saturday, May 10, the 27-year-old detailed his journey.

Christopher spoke about his insecurities surrounding his weight, especially during the high school years. Revealing he used to bring customized lunches to school to help him eat healthier, he added:

"I tried everything. I was doing meal delivery things in high school, and I remember feeling like a weirdo when I was bringing weird lunches to school."

Netizens first noticed Christopher's transformation in his sister Katherine's Instagram post featuring her siblings, celebrating National Sibling Day (April 10).

It is worth noting that Arnold Schwarzenegger shares four kids with ex-wife Maria Shriver-Katherine, 35; Christina, 29; Patrick, 31; and Christopher, 27. He is also a father to Joseph Baena, 27, with former housekeeper Mildred Patricia Baena. The latter was not present in Katherine's post.

(It) was prohibiting me from doing the everyday activities" — Christopher Schwarzenegger detailed what sparked his fitness journey

Per US Weekly, Christopher Schwarzenegger has carved out a career away from the film industry, unlike his famous siblings. He is a University of Michigan graduate with a degree in psychology. Per the outlet, he is currently the Director of Development at Indus Valley Media, a production company from Los Angeles.

Saturday's panel included Christopher Schwarzenegger's mother, Maria Shriver; Kelly Osbourne; and the event's host, Jeff Beacher. Highlighting that the process took him five long years, the 27-year-old detailed what sparked his journey. He explained:

"I started in 2019 when I was living in Australia. I was on this big trip. I made it a big (deal) like, 'Oh, I'm going to go out and do all this stuff, be in Australia,' and I just saw how much my weight was prohibiting me from doing the everyday activities."

In particular, Christopher noted he wanted to go skydiving.

Sharing an insight into his thinking, the 27-year-old explained:

"It's not an overnight thing, but it took a lot of trial and error. And even still to this day... when you're saying, oh, before and after photos... I don't feel like I'm an after yet. I don't feel like I'm at the point."

Elsewhere during the discussion, Christopher Schwarzenegger revealed he did not have bread during Lent, a Christian festival observed over a period of six weeks leading up to Easter. It involves fasting and abstinence (excluding Sundays). Per the 27-year-old, he lost thirty pounds through the decision.

While Christopher Schwarzenegger is known to stay away from the limelight, in 2021, Patrick took to his Instagram to praise his brother's lifestyle journey, reported People magazine. While the post has since been deleted, the outlet quoting the 31-year-old wrote:

"Proud of you. New job. Crushing in the gym. Whole new person. Can’t wait to see what this year brings."

According to Page Six, in September 2022, the youngest of Shriver's children with Arnold Schwarzenegger debuted his impressive figure during Patrick’s star-studded birthday in Malibu. A year later, he was photographed flaunting his lean physique at the premiere of White Lotus, which stars his brother. He was last photographed at a restaurant in West Hollywood with Patrick in April.
