“I am in a strange mood today”: Sister Wives star Kody Brown expresses concerns about meeting Meri

Sister Wives star Kody Brown continues his apology tour as he meets Meri to make amends. However, later the conversation takes an unexpected turn as Meri does not seem to be on the same page.

Meri further pointed out that she has no interest in “continuing her discussion with Kody under these circumstances.” Kody Brown gets candid about his thoughts about meeting Meri as he says,

“I haven't seen her since Utah. I am in a strange mood today, honestly. I am here to apologise. I am sort of surprised that Meri agreed to meet with me after everything.”

Kody gets candid about his regret about slamming Meri’s friends when he was trying to mend the relationship.

“Next thing I see is her friends just trashing me. So I got right in her face, on the phone, I was like, you need to have your friends shut their mouths. And I berated her friends. And I think she took that really, really personally.”

As Meri and Kody sit together, Kody decides to come clean and apologize for his past behaviour as he tells Meri, 

“An apology is so needed here. Because this is so toxic, and I apologise for that. I apologise that I am toxic to you, Meri, or was toxic to you. I mean, what do you want me to apologise for? Nothing but goodwill. Your apology is welcome if you wanna give one. Please ask your friends to keep their opinions about me to themselves. 

"You're not gonna shut me down anymore. I am just asking you, Kody, to keep your opinions of my friends and me to yourself. If you go on the attack on my best friend, then I will definitely go on the attack back. “I'm going to go into this conversation with Kody with very strong boundaries. His energy f---- with my energy. It just does.”

Meri slams Kody Brown while calling his apology “insincere”

As Meri and Kody sat for a conversation and Kody apologized while considering his past behaviour, Meri, however, was not convinced about his apology, as she told him, 

“Hey, you've got to stop with the apology word. The more you use it, the more it feels insincere. As she put it to Kody, "It just validates that it doesn't feel like this is a sincere conversation."

Meri also pointed out that she wants to give him the space to do what he intended to do, as she further explained in the confessional. 

“I'm still trying to figure out how genuine it is. I'm not convinced yet, but I'm open to seeing how it goes. I would love to have a conversation instead of just sitting here and listening to you apologise."

However, the apology did not go as planned, as Meri said to the cameras, 

"The more this conversation goes on, and the fact that he's saying, 'No, we can't have a conversation,' it's for him. It's for sure just all about him, which is fine. If he needs this, he can have it."
