Jennifer Lopez (Photo: Everett Collection)Jennifer Lopez shared pictures of her facial injury on her Instagram stories on May 13. The pop star uploaded week-old images in which her nose was swollen, a cut was on, and her eye was bruised.
Lopez said she got into an accident while rehearsing for the 2025 American Music Awards. She then thanked celebrity plastic surgeon Dr. Jason Diamond for treating her.
"Thank you for stitching me up Dr. Diamond. A week later and a whole lotta ice, I’m good as new," Lopez wrote.
According to his official website, Dr. Diamond is a Beverly Hills-based plastic surgeon. He has been featured in Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Allure, Marie Claire, and The Hollywood Reporter. He appeared in the reality show Dr. 90210 and the Netflix series The Celebrity Plastic Surgeons of Beverly Hills.
Jennifer Lopez will host the 2025 American Music Awards on May 26, 2025. The singer last hosted the event back in 2015. According to US Weekly's report dated May 14, Lopez is the fourth celebrity, after Lionel Richie, Diana Ross, and Pitbull, hosting AMAs for the second time.

In an interview with El País Magazine on May 2, Jennifer Lopez talked about her twins, Max and Emme Muniz, and how she addressed her divorce from actor Ben Affleck to them. She told the media outlet that she promised her kids she would overcome the situation and become stronger.
"I said, 'I promise you, this is a difficult time, but you're going to see that I'll come out the other side stronger and better.' I promised them that and I did it. And they feel it now. That gives me a great sense of peace in my life. I'm happier that I'm a step further along than I was a year ago, two years ago, three years ago," Lopez said.
Jennifer Lopez then shared that she felt guilty for not spending more time with her kids when they were little. The singer said she wanted to stay home, but could not as she was a working mom.
"I was a working mom when they were little. They probably didn't get as much of me as they wanted, right? Because when you're a working mom — and so many working moms out there know this — you always have that guilt. 'I should have been around more. I shouldn't have left at all. I should've just stayed home," she stated.
Jennifer Lopez then expressed that raising her children was an "amazing experience" as she took them on tour and to the sets of American Idol. The singer appeared as a judge on the show from 2011 to 2016.
"But they got the experience that they got. And you always do your best as a mom. Looking back on it, it was an amazing experience, and I was glad that I was able to take them around the world. They were on tour with me. They would go to American Idol with me," the pop star said.
The 2025 American Music Awards will air on CBS on May 26, 2025, and will be available for streaming on Paramount Plus.
