Ayo Edebiri and Clairo did an unplanned Apple dance at Sabrina Carpenter's latest BST Hyde Park concert in London. The singer performed on the legendary stage this weekend during her current Short n' Sweet World Tour.
Online videos capture Carpenter taking a break from her performance just before singing "Juno" to pretend to "arrest" Ayo and Clairo. She asked:
"Wait. Who are you guys?" as police siren played in the background.
A surprised Ayo Edebiri quickly began doing the viral Apple dance in response. Notably, the moves are to be danced to Charli XCX's hit Apple from her 2024 album, Brat. It features a series of simple moves like a body roll and holding an imaginary apple over one's head.

As clips from the concert went viral, internet users were quick to react. One wrote:
"Ok this whole Apple dance needs to get wrapped up because it’s been over a year now and they’re milking it-"
Many found the dance old.
"free us from brat," one wrote.
"Cringe asf," another added.
Others commented on the significance of the moment in pop culture. They were referencing the success of the women's respective works in 2024—Charli XCX's Brat, Carpenter's Short n Sweet, Ayo Edebiri's The Bear season 3, and Clairo's Charm (received a Grammy nomination).
"2024 cultures colliding," another quipped.
"This isn’t a concert anymore — it’s an extended universe with lore and side quests," a user joked.
Some found the moment funny.
"theyre so funny for this whatfgdfg," another added.
"Iconic vibes only! Who’s recreating this at home?" one commented.
While Ayo Edebiri and Clairo did the Apple dance, Sabrina Carpenter could be heard singing Charli XCX's hit track. She then proceeded to joke:
"So it's close, it's just a different show. But I was going to try to help y'all out to make it less weird for you."
She continued to ask the pair if they were single before adding,
"I dunno. I'm feeling you so hard," before segueing into singing Juno.
It is worth noting that the arrest segment is part of Carpenter's show, which has seen the songstress arrest various celebrities, including Salma Hayek and Millie Bobby Brown, during previous shows.
Clairo was also a part of Carpenter's two shows in London. Notably, Clairo was the only singer to guest perform during both sold-out concerts at the BST Hyde Park. The artists to feature include Beabadoobee, Luvcat, Olivia Dean, and Sofy, among others, according to Billboard. Notably, on Sunday, Duran Duran frontman Simon Le Bon and bassist John Taylor joined Carpenter to perform their 1982 hit Hungry Like the Wolf.
Ayo Edebiri is celebrating the success of the fourth season of The Bear. The comedy-drama centers around chef Carmy (Jeremy Allen White), who leaves behind his job in Michelin-starred restaurants to run his older brother's sandwich shop in Chicago. Ayo plays Carmy's sous-chef, Syd, at the shop.
The series has received critical acclaim and boasts 21 Primetime Emmy Awards and five Golden Globe Awards. This includes Ayo Edebiri's two acting wins.
According to a critic's review on the Live Mint, Edebiri's acting "eclipsed" that of White's this season, adding:
"She’s arguably the true heart of this season. Her moments of quiet power and heartfelt reflection anchor the show."
Season 4 also saw Edebiri turning writer. She co-wrote the fourth episode, according to IGN.
The Bear is available to stream online.
