The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 has premiered on Prime Video right in time for summer, with the first two hour-long episodes. Based on Jenny Han's novel series of the same name, the third season of the show picks up after the events of Season 2 in which Belly had picked the younger Fisher brother.

The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 begins with Belly arriving at Finch College, where Jeremiah is currently studying in his sophomore year. Taylor is also enrolled in the same college. Steven and Taylor's breakup does not last long, as Belly finds them kissing outside while she settles down in her dorm room. Belly's mother, Laurel, gives her a little pep talk.

After a time jump of three years, the first episode sees Jeremiah and Belly having a good time in college as a couple, save for the occasional hiccups, like the news that Jeremiah will have to stay back for another semester before graduating. The episode ends on a tragic note as Belly finds out that Jeremiah cheated on her with a girl named Lacie during his fraternity's trip to Cabo.

Jeremiah reasons that he thought they were not together at the time, but Belly insists that they had just fought. Belly runs away crying from the frat party she was attending with Jeremiah, with Taylor Swift's You're Losing Me playing in the background.

After he shows up for Belly when Steven ends up in the hospital and explains how he ended up sleeping with Lacie. Then in a surprising turn of events he proposes to Belly, and she agrees. In The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 episode 2, titled Last Christmas, Belly is heartbroken over the fact that Jeremiah cheated on her. In a flashback, viewers learn that Jeremiah told Belly about a trip to Cabo with his fraternity and sororities at the last minute. It soon became a full-fledged fight between the two, with Jeremiah asking if they were breaking up.

Enraged, Belly said they were, and Jeremiah left. For the next week, while Jeremiah was on the trip, Belly could not help but think of him and mentioned as much to Taylor, who advised her to talk to her boyfriend. When Jeremiah returned, Belly went to his dorm room to talk and he admitted that he was feeling awful about their fight. However, he did not reveal that he slept with Lacie during the trip.

In the present, in The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 episode 2, after Belly goes to get her picture taken for her passport to Paris for the study-abroad program, she reminisces about how she spent last year's Christmas with Conrad at Cousins. In another flashback viewers learn that Belly went to the beach house in Cousins for Christmas because her mother was on a retreat in the mountains and Conrad and Jeremiah were supposed to go on a trip with their father.

However, due to some weather issues, Conrad's flight was delayed and he could not make it to the trip. Belly greeted Conrad on Christmas Eve with a poker stick in hand because she was afraid it was a burglar. The duo end up spending Christmas together, solving crossword puzzles and watching movies. Nothing scandalous happened between the two. Belly never told Jeremiah about this.

How does Steven get into an accident in The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 episode 2?

Steven and Taylor were broken up for all of two seconds before they patched up again when Belly arrived at Finch College in The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 episode 1. However, in the flash forward to three years later, Steven is dating a girl named Mia, and Taylor is in a relationship with a guy named Davis. Despite this, Steven and Taylor are hooking up and cheating on their respective partners.

Belly confronts Steven about this and advises him to stop stringing his girlfriend along if he is still into Taylor. In The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 episode 2, Steven picks up Taylor for dinner and tells her that he has broken up with his girlfriend before suggesting that they should get into a relationship. Taylor volunteers to call both Conrad and Jeremiah. While Jeremiah shows up at the hospital, Conrad does his part by asking his mentor, Dr. Namazy, for a favor. Connor refuses to take the rest of the day off since it's his first day, only to get fired later when he mislabels a blood sample.

The next morning, Steven wakes up and tells Taylor that they do not work together, just as she had said earlier. Heartbroken, Taylor swallows her love confession and leaves the room.
