White Lotus star Walton Goggins' wife, Nadia Conners, recently reacted to rumors of a romance between Walton and his co-star Aimee Lou Wood. During her sit-down with Hello! magazine for an interview published on Friday, May 16, 2025, Conners indicated that the speculations come with being an actor.
Goggins and Wood played an on-screen couple during season three of the HBO show. Fans have frequently questioned if the reel-life dynamic between the two was a reflection of their real-life one.
Conners, who married Goggins in August 2011 and shares a son, Augustus, with the actor, told the outlet that the rumors, while "odd to see," were a testament to their work, saying:
"It’s odd to see it, but it’s an indication of how much people were invested in the fictional characters. I take it as a sign that he’s become quite popular."
Walton Goggins and Aimee Lou Wood joined the cast of the third season of The White Lotus. Goggins played Rick Hatchett, a mysterious man travelling with his much younger girlfriend, Chelsea, played by Wood. The season finale saw both Rick and Chelsea die in an intense shootout.
According to People magazine, fans began speculating on a romance between the two actors earlier this year after Walton Goggins compared their offscreen bond to that of their characters. At the time, he told People (shared on the outlet's TikTok) that Rick and Chelsea were "soulmates." He continued:
"We both became enmeshed in each other the way that Rick and Chelsea are. So I think the world of her."
However, after the finale aired (April 2025), eagle-eyed fans noticed that the pair unfollowed each other on Instagram, leading many to believe the co-stars had a falling out. Per People magazine, some even pointed out that Aimee Lou Wood's past comments on Walton Goggins' IG posts had seemingly disappeared, indicating one of them might have blocked the other.
What further fueled the speculations was that the co-stars shared posts honoring the two characters without tagging each other. Goggins' post featured a carousel of pictures from the show and its sets. He wrote:
"Rick + Chelsea. With the heaviest of hearts… To me, ours was a love story. It was only ever a love story, hindered by unresolved, childhood trauma."
He continued to express his gratitude to the cast and crew, including Wood, whom he thanked for being his "partner," adding, "It was a journey (he) would never forget."
Meanwhile, in April, she shared the photo of her with Walton Goggins with the caption:
"The perfect storm."
However, earlier this month, fans noticed that Goggins and Wood began following each other on the photo-sharing platform again. This came just days after the Hateful Eight actor shut down an interview with The Times (May 2025) after repeatedly being questioned about their rumored feud.
When questioned why they unfollowed each other on IG, Walton Goggins told the outlet he was not going to have that conversation. Two of his publicists also shut down the line of inquiry. However, given the actor's then-upcoming appearance on Saturday Night Live, the interviewer again probed on the subject, prompting Goggins to state:
"There is no conversation to be had about that. Sharing politics on social media — it’s in a vacuum."
Amid the rumors of tensions between the co-stars, Walton Goggins posted an Instagram story praising a Saturday Night Live sketch (April 12) mocking Aimee Lou Wood. At the time, he called it "smashing." He later commented, "Hahahahahhahaha Amazzzingggg," under SNL's post on the sketch. Notably, his reaction came after Wood criticized the skit for its "mean" and "unfunny" portrayal.
Despite repeatedly declining to discuss the topic, the interviewer made another attempt to ask, to which Goggins replied:
"What the f**k? Come on, buddy. Wow."
Following this, the actor's publicists ended the interview.
Aimee Lou Wood, for her part, during her 2025 Met Gala red carpet interview, told Entertainment Tonight she was open to the idea of working with Walton Goggins on SNL. She also noted that she loved working with him, calling it the "best thing ever."
