Sullivan's Crossing Season 3 marks the return of the sleeper hit romantic drama series. Based on Robyn Carr's novel series of the same name, the show is created by Roma Roth, who also executive produces. Roth has previously executive-produced the series adaptation of Carr's Virgin River novel series.

Though Sullivan's Crossing Season 3 premiered on May 7, 2025 on The CW; it is planned to be released on Netflix on August 11, 2025. Similar to the first two seasons, season 3 also has 10 episodes and is set to finish airing on The CW with episode 10 being released on July 16, 2025.

What is the plot of Sullivan's Crossing Season 3?

Sullivan's Crossing is the life of Maggie Sullivan, a neurosurgeon who returns to her small hometown of Timberlake, Nova Scotia, in Canada after getting into legal trouble at work in Boston. On return she re-encounters people she left behind.

Her father, Harry 'Sully' Sullivan; childhood friend, Sydney; and family friends the Cranebears, are a few of those individuals. Maggie also meets a grizzled local man by the name of California Jones, and that complicates things between her and Andrew, her Boston boyfriend.

Sullivan's Crossing Season 3 resumes months after the tragic fire in the diner at the season finale, leaving the Timberlake residents to pick up the pieces after their losses. Maggie and Cal's relationship starts, but he soon finds himself observing that there is something wrong with Maggie's attitude, as if she misses her job in Boston.

Roma Roth revealed her vision for Sullivan's Crossing

Roma Roth has over two decades of experience working on shows of different genres, from rom-coms to thrillers. She has been a member of the Writers Guild of Canada for a long time and produces Sullivan's Crossing under it.

In an interview with The Canadian Express published on May 18, 2025, Roth got candid about her vision for the beloved Canadian romance drama series.

"We’re trying to … give the audience journeys with the characters that they can identify with and connect with, so you have to walk a fine line between aspirational television and meaningful and deep storylines. I think the goal is for the show to walk that line carefully," Roth said.
