ABC orders The Goldbergs' 1990s-set spinoff to series, starring AJ Michalka

The actress will continue her role as Barry’s ex-girlfriend Lainey Lewis on the untitled spinoff. ABC originally passed on The Goldbergs spinoff last year, but the rejected pilot aired in January to great ratings and producers have retooled the idea for the show.
