Trebek named Los Angeles Kings announcer Alex Faust and CNN legal analyst Laura Coates in his interview on Fox News' OBJECTified that hinted he'll likely step down from Jeopardy! in 2020, when he turns 80. "I guess there are worse ways to randomly see your name show up on TMZ!" tweeted a "flattered" Faust. Coates tweeted: "Incredibly honored & humbled @Jeopardy Alex Trebek 1) knows who I am 2) thinks I'd be a great host of my fave game show ever that I grew up watching w/ my family & still watch w/ my own kids." Andy Saunders, who runs The Jeopardy! Fan site, said the front-runner in his eyes is Anderson Cooper, who could work on Jeopardy! four to six days per month while keeping his CNN and 60 Minutes gigs. Saunders said of Trebek: “He has so much experience and he is such a good host that anyone, even Anderson Cooper, would find it incredibly difficult to fill Alex’s shoes."
