Amazon's A League of Their Own TV series will feature new characters

The female baseball team TV series based on the 1992 Penny Marshall movie is being co-written by Broad City's Abbi Jacobson. Amazon Studios head Jennifer Salke said of the project: “I would say..there be a group of new characters but some nods to the original.”
