The Oscar-nominated actor is joining the Saturday Night Live star's NBC comedy pilot, formerly known as Saving Kenan, playing his father-in-law, a retired police officer. Garcia, who played Ricardo Montalbán on last year's HBO movie My Dinner with Hervé and who recently filmed Amazon's Modern Love, has been one of the biggest names this pilot season, according to The Hollywood Reporter. In fact, Garcia chose The Kenan Show after fielding multiple pilot offers. Garcia's last regular series role was on HBO's Ballers in 2016, recurring as a big-time money manager boss.
