The Donald Glover comedy was supposed to shoot Seasons 3 and 4 back-to-back this past spring before the coronavirus shutdown. Season 3 was originally scheduled to premiere in January and Season 4 was set for fall 2021. FX Networks boss John Landgraf said today that due to the pandemic and Glover's busy schedule, finding a restart date was difficult. “Donald Glover and his intrepid team of writers have written everything for seasons three and four,” he said. “However, the availability has been pushed back because of COVID. That just had to do with our sense of when we could return to work safely and then we had to coordinate the cast for what is essentially shooting two seasons at once.” Making things more difficult was that Season 3 is primarily filming in Europe.
