The Atlanta executive producer and director, who also directed the Childish Gambino "This Is America" music video that has garnered 70 million YouTube views and counting this week, will develop new projects for FX Networks as part of his new deal. “Hiro has excelled as a director and a creative force in commercials, music videos and episodic television, and we welcome the chance to see him develop his own series through FX Productions,” says FX's Nick Grad, the executive in charge of original programming. “He helped make Atlanta the most acclaimed comedy series on television, greatly contributing to its signature style and tone and becoming an integral part of the creative team led by Donald Glover.
