Last Wednesday, before The CW superhero show suspended production over coronavirus, 30-year-old P.A. Amanda Smith was working on a location shoot setup below the Georgia Viaduct in Vancouver when “the bucket of a lift lowered onto her head,” according to a GoFundMe page created for Smith. Her friend and colleague Tyler Mancuzzo, who helped create the GoFundMe, told the Vancouver Sun that Smith had her back to the machine and was unable to hear it because of the nearby traffic. “She was literally just sitting there and it came down on top of her,” Mancuzzo said. The Workers’ Compensation Board of British Columbia (WorkSafeBC) has launched an investigation into the incident.
