"If this is how I find out our show is canceled..I’m going to be so upset," Thorne tweeted. "Very hurtful freeform. I woulda liked a phone call maybe." According to The Hollywood Reporter's Lesley Goldberg, Freeform wanted more money from Hulu to pay for the "expensive series." Goldberg further reports that the cancelation was a relief for the show's production because Thorne, with her on-set "diva-like behavior," often clashed with showrunner I. Marlene King, adding: "Sources note Thorne actively wanted off of Famous in Love, with the actress and social media star having refused to participate in Freeform-organized live-tweets during its second season." UPDATE: Showrunner I. Marlene King denies Famous in Love was canceled and denies having a feud with Bella Thorne: "FACT: The ENTIRE @FamousInLoveTV cast and crew are crossing our fingers and toes as we light candles for a S3 pickup. #Raige On!," King tweeted, adding in another tweet: "Despite what may be out there I am not in a feud w @bellathorne. We have, and have always had, a friendly and professional relationship."
