The legendary movie star and sex symbol, who died this morning from cardiac arrest, was best known for his big-screen work, but also he won accolades for starring on the CBS sitcom Evening Shade for four seasons, from 1990 to 1994. Reynolds was nominated twice for the Emmy for outstanding lead actor in a comedy series, winning once, and nominated three times for the Golden Globe for best performance by an actor in a TV series, comedy or musical, also winning once. He also lent his voice to the late 1980s fantasy sitcom Out of this World, playing the alien father of a half-human, half-alien girl. Reynolds death comes six months after he sat for an extended interview with Conan O'Brien, where they touched on everything on him being "in love" with Johnny Carson to his friendship with Marilyn Monroe.
