Meanwhile, American Idol judge Lionel Richie, who wrote and produced Rogers' 1980 No. 1 hit "Lady," honored the country music legend on social media. "Today I lost one of my closest friends," he wrote. "So much laughter so many adventures to remember, my heart is broken. My prayers go out to Kenny’s Family."
