Christopher Eccleston to reprise his Doctor Who role for new audio-only adventures

Eccleston, who kicked off the Doctor Who revival in 2005 with his one season as the Ninth Doctor, had previously declined all offers to reprise his role, citing his unhappiness with working on the show. But BBC Studios has snagged Eccleston for 12 new audio adventure series that will be released on four box sets on CD, download and vinyl in May 2021. Watch the trailer.
