In recent years, Chappelle's standup comedy has trafficked in sexism and transphobia while railing against "cancel culture." "Better a back-seat driver than a roadblock, I suppose, though people of any age who are out in the streets, fighting for all black lives—trans lives very much included—might be less than impressed by Chappelle’s show of solidarity," she says.
