David Letterman to Seth Meyers: "Your show is nothing like my show"

Letterman, returning to the Late Night show that he hosted from 1982 to 1993, told Meyers: "My show was lumpy and viscous. And your show is crisp and smart and contemporary." When Meyers asked Dave if he'd be covering Trump if he still had a daily show, Letterman said: "I tell you, after watching the opening of your show, there would be no point in doing it, because you have it covered."
