Discovery streaming service Discovery+ launches in January, starting at $4.99 per month

The $4.99 is for the ad-supported tier, reports CNBC. An ad-free tier will cost $6.99 per month. Discovery is also partnering with Verizon to give 55 million customers 12 months of ad-free Discovery+. “Unlike scripted and movies, our content is a great companion," said Discovery CEO David Zaslav. "People tend to watch us all day, while they’re eating lunch, or while they’re working with their kids on homework.”
