The Fox network avoided using the phrase "Black Lives Matter" in a Twitter statement Sunday in support of its black colleagues amid the George Floyd protests. That was in contrast to fellow broadcast networks NBC, ABC, CBS and The CW, which all tweeted support for Black Lives Matter on Sunday. On Monday night, Fox tweeted a new statement saying explicitly "Black Lives Matter." Fox also began its Monday primetime programming with a 12-second moment of silence accompanied by the Black Lives Matter message. "We condemn all racism and discrimination and proudly support our Black colleagues, viewers, partners and neighbors,” the message said, “We stand with them and communities seeking inclusion and understanding. Black Lives Matter.”
