Grammys announces its eligibility year will end one month early, prompted by early Oscar date

The eligibility year for the 2020 Grammy Awards will close on Aug. 31, instead of at the end of September, because next year's Grammy Awards will be held two weeks earlier due to the Oscars moving into the Grammys' traditional Sunday timeslot one week after the Super Bowl.
