Greg Kinnear may star in a TV remake of War of the Worlds

Kinnear, who can currently be seen in House of Cards, is close to signing on for a European "reimagined telling" of H.G. Wells’ alien invasion story from Misfits writer Howard Overman. The news comes as BBC is creating its own take on the classic sci-fi story.
