Gwyneth Paltrow told Letterman in 1998 that Harvey Weinstein “will coerce you to do a thing or two”

“Are you here of your own free will? Has someone coerced you into being here?” David Letterman asked Paltrow during a Nov. 25, 1998 Late Show appearance, which was uploaded to YouTube on Tuesday. “Do you count Harvey Weinstein as a coercer?” responded Paltrow. Letterman joked that Weinstein used to be “some kind of junior mob kind of guy. He was like in the mob auxiliary.” Paltrow went on to say she does all her movies with Weinstein, but “he will coerce you to do a thing or two.” Letterman YouTube archivist Don Giller unearthed and uploaded the clip, based on a tip.
