HBO Max will launch in May 2020 at a cost of $14.99 a month

With Apple TV+ launching this Friday, and Disney+ bowing in just two weeks, WarnerMedia is revealing new details about its own upcoming streaming service, HBO Max. The new service will launch sometime in May 2020 and will be priced at $14.99. That's $2 more than the standard Netflix monthly plan, but current HBO subscribers will get it for free. Apple TV+ will cost $4.99 at launch, while Disney+ will cost $6.99. Peacock, the new streaming service from NBCUniversal set to launch in April has not yet released its pricing.
