Hindu-American group pushes back on Matt Groening's "ambitious" plan to revive The Simpson's Apu

Hindu American Foundation, the nation's largest advocacy and education organization for Hindu Americans, worries that Groening isn't taking their concerns seriously enough with his "ambitious" plans to revive the controversial character, pointing out that Apu has been used as a punchline and has led to bullying of Indian-American children. If Apu is revived, they want an actor of Indian descent to voice him.
