The Amazon-owned streaming service announced five scripted projects in development, including Schur and Serrano's Primo, which was previously in the works at ABC in 2017. Primo, based on The Ringer writer and The Rap Year Book author's Serrano's life, is described as a "compelling and highly-entertaining coming of age story about a Mexican-American teenager balancing cultural norms, college aspirations, societal expectations and the hectic home life of being raised by his single mom and five uncles." Kanakaredes' Greek Candy is also semi-autobiographical, about a multigenerational family and their 100-year-old chocolate factory in Akron, Ohio. Also in the works at IMDb TV is The Fed, a drama about employees of the Federal Reserve, the Indian family drama The Pradeeps of Pittsburgh, PA based on the life of Vijal Patel and Blessed and Highly Favored about a rookie pastor in Dallas.
