On the one hand David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have a history of adapting a gripping and imaginative book series, so they shouldn't have trouble with Liu Cixin's Three-Body Problem. On the other hand, Liu's book trilogy might be unfilmable because of its focus on science and ideas over characters.
