"They should either cancel The Goldbergs or kill off Jeff Garlin’s character because the workarounds they’ve been using this season ain’t working," says critic Noel Murray, who posted a viral clip of a creepy-looking digital version of Garlin on a recent episode. Back when Garlin left The Goldbergs in December following investigations into his on-set behavior, Deadline's Nellie Andreeva reported: "According to sources, the show used his double for what was supposed to be the actor’s last day, and his face will be superimposed using CGI in post-production for the episode, designed to wrap his character’s storyline. (That is practice used a number of times for Garlin in the past for various reasons, I hear.)"
